 CORCOVADO NATIONAL PARK

SIRENA BIOLOGICAL STATION

Sirena Biological Station and surroundings is probably the best-known entry point into Corcovado. This is because, due to its central location in the heart of the Park, the possibilities for seeing certain kinds of animals, such as the tapir, monkeys, crocodiles, etc., are fairly high. You will pass through secondary forest where the greatest concentration of animals is to be found, and you will see huge trees and big rivers, always escorted by the naturalist guide, who will explain to you the most amazing of details about the wild life.

SAN PEDRILLO BIOLOGICAL + SIRENA  BIOLOGICAL STATION

We offer this combo of 2 days and 1 night to those who would like a deeper understanding of Corcovado in its 2 stations. Leaving very early from Drake Bay, a boat takes us to the heart of the Park, Sirena, where we walk its trails searching for the most notable animals of the area, some which are difficult to see in San Pedrillo. At noon we’ll be back in the boat heading to San Pedrillo, where we will explore its impressive primary forest and waterfalls. Dinner comes with a beautiful sunset over the ocean. The next day we will begin with a walk before sunrise, and after lunch we will return to Drake Bay. The night spent in the Park we will be camping in a tent, and the food will be picnic style, simple but delicious.

SAN PEDRILLO BIOLOGICAL STATION

This tour is entirely in the San Pedrillo area. Unlike Sirena, there are much less visitors and has a more abrupt landscape, with giant trees in its enigmatic primary forest. With enough time and if the tide is adequate, it will be possible to walk to La Llorona, and impressive waterfall over 15m high that falls directly into the ocean.
